The True Gospel

The Gospel of Jesus Christ is the greatest news ever given to mankind because it answers the greatest question of life: How can sinful people be made right with a holy God?

The Bible teaches that God is the Creator of all things, perfectly righteous, perfectly just, and perfectly loving. He created mankind to know Him, love Him, worship Him, and live in fellowship with Him. But humanity rebelled against God through sin. Sin is not merely wrongdoing; it is rebellion against the authority, holiness, and will of God. “For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God” (Romans 3:23). Because God is holy and just, sin brings judgment, spiritual death, separation from God, and eternal condemnation. No amount of religion, morality, good works, money, achievement, or human effort can remove guilt or reconcile man to God. Left to ourselves, we are hopeless and unable to save ourselves.

But God, in His mercy and grace, provided the way of salvation through His Son, Jesus Christ. Jesus is not merely a prophet, teacher, or religious leader—He is God the Son, the eternal Word made flesh, born of a virgin, truly God and truly man. He lived the perfect, sinless life that we could never live, completely obeying the Father in thought, word, and deed. Then, according to the eternal plan of God, Jesus willingly went to the cross and died as the substitute for sinners. On the cross, He bore the wrath and judgment that our sins deserved. “God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us” (Romans 5:8). He shed His blood for the forgiveness of sins, paid the full penalty demanded by divine justice, and cried, “It is finished,” because the work of redemption had been completed.

Jesus was buried, and on the third day He rose from the grave in victory over sin, death, and hell, Satan and all the powers of darkness. The resurrection is God’s declaration that Jesus is exactly who He claimed to be and that His sacrifice was fully accepted. He ascended into heaven and now reigns as Lord and King. One day He will return in power and glory to judge the living and the dead. Every person will stand before Him. Every knee shall bow and every tongue shall confess that Jesus Christ is Lord. Those who reject Him remain under condemnation, but those who belong to Him receive eternal life, complete forgiveness, reconciliation with God, and the promise of everlasting joy in His presence.

The Gospel calls every person everywhere to repent and believe in Jesus Christ. Repentance is the repudiation and forsaking of the old life of sin and a turning to God. Faith is wholehearted trust in Jesus Christ alone—not in religion, church membership, good deeds, or personal merit, but in Christ crucified and risen. Salvation is by grace alone through faith alone in Christ alone. “For by grace you have in been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God, not of works, lest anyone should boast” (Ephesians 2:8–9). When a person truly comes to Christ in repentance and faith, God forgives every sin, declares that person righteous through the righteousness of Jesus, gives them a new heart, places His Holy Spirit within them, adopts them into His family, and begins transforming them into the likeness of Christ.

We are living in a grace period between the first coming of Christ and His return, and your life on earth is brief and uncertain. The Gospel is not merely information to admire—it is truth that demands a response. The greatest tragedy in life is not poverty, sickness, failure, or death; it is to reject the saving grace of Jesus Christ. The greatest success is to know God through His Son. Jesus said, “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me” (John 14:6). He also said, “Come to Me, all you who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest” (Matthew 11:28).

The invitation is open today. Turn to Christ while there is still time. Trust Him completely. Receive the forgiveness, salvation, peace, and eternal life that only He can give.
