We are living in a grace period— the time between and the death of Jesus Christ and His triumphant return through His resurrection and our time here on the earth is limited.
The reason you exist on the earth, the reason the universe was even created, is to restore your relationship with God that was broken by sin— the redemption of sin and evil by God’s grace through your genuine repentance and saving faith in Jesus Christ.
It is the only reason you are here. It is the ultimate success, the only “real” success in this world.
It is the only reason God created the massive universe with all of its complexities. With over 200 billion galaxies and approximately 400 billion, trillion stars, if one piece was missing or misplaced or if not enough time had passed, if the Creator had not fine-tuned it all to perfection, human life on this tiny blue speck called Earth could not have existed. If the earth was just a little closer to the sun, we would all burn up. If it was just a little further away, we would all freeze to death.
Earth is the only place in this enormous universe where human life could exist, but only for a certain period of time, this “grace period” in which we are in now.
