What is the Gospel Truth App?
The Gospel Truth App is a unique— and yes, God-inspired way for Christians to share God’s absolute, unchanging, and indisputable TRUTH of the gospel, the Good News of Jesus Christ, through everyone’s most personal channel— their mobile phone. Everybody’s got one and they use it religiously— so to speak, both day and night.
Our mission is simple— to share the Good News of Jesus Christ and trust the Holy Spirit to do what only He can do. If this app helps lead just one person to repentance and faith in Christ, then it is well worth the effort. The app exists for only one purpose—to bring glory to the one true and only living Creator God.
This ministry is based on Philippians 1:18, paraphrasing the Apostle Paul who said:
“The most important thing is that in every way… Christ is proclaimed.”
We believe that sharing the gospel message through our mobile phones is one of those “every ways” to proclaim the Good News of Jesus Christ!
Digital Gospel Planting
Sharing the gospel message digitally in the 21st century — or in any form, for that matter — is seed planting. We plant the seeds and God will reap the harvest.
We share the app by text messaging. Everybody has a mobile phone and everybody texts. It’s peer-to-peer sharing with people you know who know and trust you. The trust factor makes it more likely they will click on the link. Share a personal message along with a live link and a promo about the app. Ask them to Get Connected and Pass It On to others; a potential for ongoing and even exponential growth.
But you also have the ability to “stelth” the Truth to those who desperately need to hear the Good News. Sadly, everybody knows a lot of people who do not know Jesus as their Lord and Savior and they must be reached.
The app itself has no power to save, and neither do we and neither do they — only the Holy Spirit can do that. But for the clear message of the gospel presentation to reach hearts, it must first be delivered — preached, heard (or in this case, read on a phone).
That’s why the app must be shared… with both believers and unbelievers, and shared a lot; the traditional Each One, Reach One approach, where each person shares with one other who does the same, but hopefully exponentially— if one person shares with just three others who each do the same, here’s what the math looks like — 1 → 3 → 9 → 27 → 81 → 243 → 729 → 2187 → 6561 → 19,683 and on and on. And as long as people keep sharing, the sharing never ends. If nobody shares it, the number is “0.”
Sharing digitally takes the gospel to where people are… on their phones. It is not intended to replace face-to-face evangelism, but to strengthen it—helping you learn and share the Gospel message with boldness, confidence, and to far more people than you could or would reach in person, one person at a time.
