We will all die physically one day. Everybody does (except the prophets Enoch and Elijah). But our souls are eternal and will spend forever either in a place where God is (heaven) or a place where God is not (hell).
We are living in a grace period between the first coming of Christ and His return, although we do not know the day or the hour, and our life on earth is brief and uncertain.
The Gospel is not merely information to admire—it is truth that demands a response.
The greatest tragedy in life is not poverty, sickness, failure, or even death; it is to reject the saving grace of Jesus Christ. The greatest success is to know God through His Son.
Jesus said, “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me” (John 14:6).
He also said, “Come to Me, all you who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest” (Matthew 11:28).
The invitation is open today.
Turn to Christ while there is still time. Trust Him completely.
Receive the forgiveness, salvation, peace, and eternal life that only He can give.
Nobody is born a Christian. The flesh does not produce redemption. You don’t inherit it from your parents, nor do you magically become one over time.
Christianity is not a religion. It is a personal relationship with Jesus Christ. Do not be confused by all the “religious” talk out there. There is only one true gospel.
A Christian is not simply someone who believes in God. Even the demons believe—and tremble in fear of God’s wrath to come. Genuine repentance and saving faith are required. Belief in Christ without repentance is not true salvation. It is the faith, trust and complete confidence in who Jesus is and what He has done for you. Turn to, trust in and rely on Jesus.
It’s not just joining and attending a church, following religious traditions, or even getting baptized in a group setting without even hearing about sin or grace or repentance or faith or surrendering your life to Jesus.
You don’t get baptized to “get saved,” you get baptized because you have been saved. You get saved when Jesus baptizes you with the Holy Spirit. The reality of the forgiveness of sins precedes the rite of baptism. Since we are united by faith with Him…. as water baptism symbolizes, His death and burial become ours. We have also been united with Him in his resurrection. Peter was obeying Christ’s command from Matthew 28:19 (The Great Commission) when he urged the people who repented and turned to Christ for salvation to identify, through the waters of baptism, with His death, burial and resurrection.
Everybody does not go to heaven when they die. Some are traveling on the broad road which leads to destruction. You won’t get there because you “think you’re a good person.” Your self-righteousness is also a sin. Only God is perfectly good—and perfectly good is the standard we all fall short of every day, but it only takes one sin to be a sinner.
We do not become angels when we die, we do not “get our wings,” and we will not be reunited with unbelieving family or friends in heaven. And family and friends who are saved won’t be reunited with you if you are not saved.
There are not millions of ways to be saved—only one. Works can’t save you, your family and friends can’t save you and you certainly can’t save yourself.
Salvation comes only by the grace of the one true, sovereign, living, Creator God—through faith in Jesus Christ. “And there is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven that has been given among men by which we must be saved” (Acts 4:12). You cannot be saved and remain the same.
Right now, no matter where you are and what you’re doing, Jesus stands ready to forgive you, to cleanse you, and give you eternal life.
“At the acceptable time I listened to you,
And on the day of salvation I helped you.”
Behold, now is “the acceptable time,” behold, now is “the day of salvation.”— (2 Corinthians 6:2)
You may never have another moment like this.
Stay in the Gospel and trust the Holy Spirit to do what only He can do. Be persistent! Keep asking! Keep seeking! Keep knocking! Keep pleading!
Cry out to God and ask Him to be merciful and to save you!
Please do not live here and leave here without Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior. Too many people do! Do not experience the second death. Too many people will!
And eternity is a long, long time to be wrong!
