And on the third day, God raised Jesus from the dead and He walked out of that tomb, granting eternal life for all “born again” believers who put their faith and trust in His. The resurrection demonstrates Christ’s victory over sin and death, providing the foundation for the promise of eternal life. We as believers, those who have been born twice, will also be resurrected when Christ returns.
“I am the resurrection and the life; he who believes in Me will live even if he dies.” (John 11:25 LSB
The Order of Resurrection
“But now [as things really are] Christ has in fact been raised from the dead, [and He became] the first fruits [that is, the first to be resurrected with an incorruptible, immortal body, foreshadowing the resurrection] of those who have fallen asleep [in death]. For since [it was] by a man that death came [into the world], it is also by a Man that the resurrection of the dead has come. For just as in Adam all die, so also in Christ all will be made alive.” (1 Corinthians 15:20-22 AMP)
The resurrection of Jesus Christ is the most important event in the history of the world. It is the foundation of our hope for eternal life.
As Paul wrote:
“And if Christ is not risen, your faith is futile (worthless and powerless); you are still in your sins (condemned and under the control and penalty of sin)!” 1 Corinthians 15:17 NKJV; emphasis added)
But God did raise Jesus from the dead!
The historical evidence for the resurrection is overwhelming and if the resurrection of Jesus really happened (which it did), it proves that Christianity is true and everything else is not, because it is simply not possible to mistake a man who was raised from the dead. With His resurrection, as it had been prophesized by others and even foretold by Jesus Himself, Jesus proved that He was God.
The absolute, unchanging and indisputable “Truth” for every living person is this: “There is simply no solution to the human problem of sin and its eternal punishment, but by the grace of the one true and only living, Creator God and the perfect sinless life, death and resurrection of Jesus Christ.”
As we wait patiently and look forward to that “great day” of His second coming, Jesus is our hope, our living hope, our “only hope” in this lost world.
Thank you Lord Jesus!
“Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ! In his great mercy he has given us new birth into a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead and into an inheritance that can never perish, spoil or fade. This inheritance is kept in heaven for you, who through faith are shielded by God’s power until the coming of the salvation (judgement) that is ready to be revealed in the last time.“ (1 Peter 1:3-5 NIV; emphasis added)
You don’t have to believe any of this and nobody can make you believe it, but if you have heard the Good News of Jesus Christ and don’t believe it or outright reject it, you have absolutely no excuse and remain condemned.
You are already spiritually dead and condemned because of sin and when you physically die, as we all will, without receiving the free gift of God’s grace through Jesus Christ, you are literally choosing to forfeit your soul for eternity.
“Whatever is the object (the worldly things, the types of sin) for which men forsake Christ, that is the price at which Satan (God’s enemy) buys their souls. Yet one soul (yours) is worth more than all the world.” (Matthew Henry Commentary; emphasis added)
The “objects,” whatever those objects are for you, are not worth the eternal “price” that must be paid for them… your soul. Do not be deceived!
Repent and be saved through faith and trust in Jesus Christ!
God offers redemption to every living person. The price of that redemption was paid for all on a cross. To receive His grace will require a complete surrender to Christ through genuine repentance and saving faith in who Jesus is and what He did for you.
There no other way to be saved!
The Holy Spirit is the third person of the triune God, fully God, just as the Father and the Son are fully God. He is the Father’s agent in the miracle of salvation and regeneration who leads you through every aspect of your transformation. He is fully God just as the Father and Son are fully God.
Edited version:
He Is Risen!
On the third day, God raised Jesus from the dead and He walked out of that tomb—granting eternal life to all born again believers who put their faith and trust in Him.
The resurrection demonstrates Christ’s victory over sin and death, providing the foundation for the promise of eternal life.
As believers—those who have been born twice—we will also be resurrected when Christ returns.
“I am the resurrection and the life. He who believes in Me, though he may die, he shall live.”
— John 11:25
The Order of Resurrection
“But now Christ is risen from the dead, and has become the firstfruits of those who have fallen asleep.
For since by man came death, by Man also came the resurrection of the dead.
For as in Adam all die, even so in Christ all shall be made alive.”
— 1 Corinthians 15:20–22
- Christ was the first to be raised with an incorruptible, immortal body
- His resurrection foreshadows ours when He returns
- In Adam, all die — in Christ, all will be made alive
Why the Resurrection Matters
The resurrection of Jesus Christ is the most important event in human history.
It is the foundation of our hope for eternal life.
Paul wrote:
“And if Christ is not risen, your faith is futile; you are still in your sins!”
— 1 Corinthians 15:17
But Christ is risen — and because of this:
- It proves that Christianity is true, and every other belief system is not, because it is simply not possible to mistake a man who was raised from the dead.
- Jesus proved He was God, fulfilling prophecy and His own predictions.
- Sin and death have been conquered forever.
The Unchanging Truth
There is simply no solution to the human problem of sin and it’s eternal punishment except by:
- The grace of the one true and living Creator God.
- The perfect, sinless life of Jesus Christ.
- His death and resurrection.
Jesus is our living hope, our only hope, in this lost world.
“Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ!
In His great mercy He has given us new birth into a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead…”
— 1 Peter 1:3–5
Your Choice — and Its Cost
You don’t have to believe this, but if you have heard the Good News and reject it:
- You have no excuse.
- You remain condemned.
- You are already spiritually dead, and literally choosing to forfeit your soul for eternity.
“Whatever is the object for which men forsake Christ, that is the price at which Satan buys their souls. Yet one soul is worth more than all the world.” — Matthew Henry Commentary
No object, no sin, no temporary pleasure is worth the eternal price that must be paid for them… your soul.
The Only Way
God offers redemption to every person.
The price was fully paid by Jesus on the cross.
To receive it requires:
- A complete surrender to Christ.
- Genuine repentance.
- Saving faith in who Jesus is and what He has done for you.
“Nor is there salvation in any other, for there is no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved.”
— Acts 4:12
